In the foreground is pit 2, indistinguishable under leaf litter. Pit 1 can be seen mid-ground left with another spoil heap on it’s right.

Pit 1. The pine stump is on a spoil heap. The other pit (2) is behind to the right.

Any additional observations or comments

I think these mine pits are unusually close to the original village centre and would have been visible from the church. I had a scout around for others but fading light shortened the search
