The clay pit goes through the area of smaller pits to the south of Broomhill Cottage. It is much larger and deeper W30m xD20m. The brick kiln & bricks are about 20m to the SW of the pit |

Any additional observations or comments There are further pits lower down a dry ‘valley’ or stream. The pits recorded lie at the head of this valley. The topmost pit has a horseshoe shape but the flint debris including a core is not of the black flint. |
